Changelog
What has changed in quietstats, newest first. Only things that are live are listed here; plans are on the features page.
Alerts
- A new Alerts inbox. When a site gets an unusual spike (at least 2.5× a normal day), you get an alert that says where the visitors came from and which page they landed on.
- Your own rules: visitors, pageviews, bounce rate or AI visitors above or below a number, or dropping by a percentage, over yesterday or the last 7 days.
- Per-site settings, a Check now button, and an unread count on your dashboard. Email delivery is not switched on yet; everything shows in the inbox.
Click goals and event goals
- Add data-clicks to the events script to count clicks on links and buttons by their label, once per page view.
- Goals can now be a page, a custom event or a click, and funnels can mix all three.
- The Live view lists custom events from the last 30 minutes.
AI referrals deep-dive
- A page per site showing which AI assistant sent each visitor, the pages they landed on, pages per visit, and how many reached your goals compared with all visitors.
All-sites report
- Every site on your account in one view for 7, 30 or 90 days: combined trend, each site’s share and change, and top pages, sources and countries across all of them.
Import from Plausible or GA4
- Bring your history across from Plausible (CSV export or API key) or Google Analytics 4 (CSV). You see a preview and the number of rows before anything is saved, and you can undo any import in one click.
- Imported days are marked on your dashboard and never overlap your live data.
Install guide and brand
- The install guide now shows what you will see when you add a site, step by step, with real screenshots.
- The quietstats name is shown with “stats” in the logo yellow across the site and dashboard, in a darker gold in the light theme so it stays readable.
- Dashboard cards now have even spacing on every screen size.
More tracking
- Custom events with conversion rates on your dashboard, from the optional events script (qs('Name') or data-qs-event). The standard script is unchanged at 845 bytes.
- Outbound link clicks (host only), file downloads and 404 pages, each switched on with one attribute.
- Time on page and same-day returning visitors, worked out from data already collected.
- Regions (for example England or California) alongside countries; no city or IP stored.
- utm_content and utm_term can now be broken down too.
Campaigns
- A Campaigns screen for each site: add a campaign with its send date, build a tagged link and copy it, then see visitors, top landing pages and sources since the send.
- Campaign tags that turn up in your traffic but are not added yet are listed with one-click Add.
- Send dates appear as markers on the main chart.
- utm_content and utm_term are now recorded as well.
Script size comparison
- New “How light is quietstats?” section on the Compare page, with the live script measured at 845 bytes minified (about 0.5 KB to download).
Referrer logos
- Referrers show their real logos, bundled on quietstats itself with no outside requests.
- Every list is sorted biggest first, with bars sized to the count.
Signed-in fixes
- Clicking the logo takes you to your dashboard and never signs you out. Logging out only happens from the Log out button.
- When signed in, the pricing buttons go straight to billing with that plan picked.
Story card, carbon estimate and themes
- A plain-English story card with spikes, content decay hints and a suggested next step.
- Carbon estimate for your top pages.
- Dark and light themes, and a calm night mode for the Live view.
Sharing
- Shareable stats cards (SVG and PNG).
- An opt-in public stats page for any site, off by default.
- The “No cookies · quietstats” badge.
Deeper charts
- A dashed previous-period line on the trend chart.
- Chart notes, goals and funnels, and a visitor journeys chart.
- A live world map and live sparkline.
Heatmap and mobile
- The hour-of-day heatmap uses each site’s time zone (UK time by default).
- A tidy mobile menu.
Expand, Live view and install status
- Expand any panel for the full list, with search, sorting and paging.
- A Live view of visitors in the last 5 minutes.
- Sites only say “Installed” once a real visit arrives, with a Check install button.
Managing sites
- A stepped Add site flow with install guides and a live first-visit check, plus bulk add.
- A Your sites overview, a Ctrl/Cmd-K site switcher and an All time date range.
Stats API
- A read-only Stats API with JSON or CSV, per-site keys and an OpenAPI spec. See the API docs.
Launch
- quietstats is live at quietstats.co.uk.
