The Get set up checklist
New accounts get a short checklist at the top of the dashboard: add your script, see your first visit, set a goal.

What it does
A card called Get set up that ticks each step off by itself, using data quietstats already has.
Why it matters
Most people who never see a first visit give up. The checklist gets you to real numbers, then gets out of the way.
How to use it
- Open your dashboard in the first 30 days of a new account.
- Step 1: copy your snippet (or open the WordPress, Shopify or other install help), then press Check my site.
- Step 2: visit your site. The live check looks every 5 seconds and ticks the step.
- Step 3: add a goal, such as your contact or thank-you page.
- Optional step 4: switch on Don’t count my visits. Press Hide checklist whenever you like.
How it works
Privacy
- Progress comes from your own data: whether visits arrived and whether a goal exists.
- Ticking a step writes nothing. Hiding the checklist saves one row for your account.
- No cookies, and nothing stored on the visitor’s device.
- Reports show totals only: never a visitor list, IP address or single visit.
Plans
Every plan, including Free. quietstats is free during launch: the Free plan covers 1 site and 5,000 pageviews a month, and no card is needed. See pricing.
Questions
Can I bring the checklist back?
It shows for accounts under 30 days old until the three main steps are done or you hide it. After that, everything it links to is still on the Sites, Goals and Manage pages.
