From the sample dashboard on quietstats.co.uk, which uses made-up numbers.
What it does
Goals show conversions and conversion rate. A funnel shows how many visitors reached each step in order.
Why it matters
“How many people signed up from the pricing page?” is the question that pays for analytics.
How to use it
Press 🎯 Goals above the dashboard (or Add a goal on the Goals card).
Add a page goal (an exact path or a prefix like /blog/*), an event goal or a click goal.
Add up to 5 goals in the order of your funnel; the Goals & funnel card shows each step.
How it works
Make a page goal (or a prefix like /blog/*), an event goal or a click goal.
The funnel uses your goals in the order you added them, up to 5.
Conversion rate = visitors who completed ÷ all visitors.
From the goals card and the Goals report. Counts are totals; no visitor-level list is ever shown.
Privacy
Collected: Nothing new beyond the pageviews and events you collect
No cookies, and nothing stored on the visitor’s device.
Reports show totals only: never a visitor list, IP address or single visit.
Limits
Up to 20 goals per site; funnels use up to 5
Rows: 2 to add a goal; 0 per pageview
Plans
Every plan, including Free. quietstats is free during launch: the Free plan covers 1 site and 5,000 pageviews a month, and no card is needed. See pricing.
Questions
Do goals work on past data?
Yes. Goals are worked out when you look, so a new goal shows history straight away.
