World map, countries and regions
A shaded world map, flags and share of visitors by country, plus regions such as England, Scotland or California.
What it does
Countries on a world map and in a ranked list, and regions alongside them. No city, and no IP address is stored.
Why it matters
Know which countries to write for, which time zones to post in, and whether a campaign reached the right place.
How to use it
- Find Where visitors are on your dashboard.
- Switch between countries and regions; click a country to filter.
- Open Live view for the live map.
How it works
- Country comes from Cloudflare’s country header on the request.
- Region comes from Cloudflare’s region data on the same request.
- Neither needs an IP address to be stored. The IP is used in memory and discarded.
Privacy
- Collected: Country code
- Collected: Region name
- Not collected: City
- Not collected: Postcode or precise location
- No cookies, and nothing stored on the visitor’s device.
- Reports show totals only: never a visitor list, IP address or single visit.
Limits
- Rows: 0 extra per pageview (stored in the pageview row)

Questions
How accurate is it?
As accurate as Cloudflare’s location data for the visitor’s connection. VPNs and mobile networks can place people in another region.
Can I filter by country?
Yes. Click a country, or use a segment such as country==GB.
