World map, countries and regions: example screenshot with made-up demo data
ExampleScreenshot with made-up demo data, not a real customer’s numbers.

What it is

Countries on a world map and in a ranked list, and regions alongside them. No city, and no IP address is stored.

Why it matters

Know which countries to write for, which time zones to post in, and whether a campaign reached the right place.

How it works

  1. Country comes from Cloudflare’s country header on the request.
  2. Region comes from Cloudflare’s region data on the same request.
  3. Neither needs an IP address to be stored. The IP is used in memory and discarded.

Set it up

Nothing to set up: it works with the standard one-line script.

HTML
<script data-host="https://quietstats.co.uk" data-dnt="true" src="https://quietstats.co.uk/js/script.js" id="YOUR_SITE_ID" async defer></script>

Privacy: what is and isn’t collected

Collected

  • Country code
  • Region name

Never collected

  • City
  • Postcode or precise location
  • Cookies, localStorage or anything else stored on the visitor’s device
  • IP addresses or user agents (used in memory, then discarded)
  • Anything that links a visitor across days (the visitor ID resets daily)

Rows and limits

  • Rows: 0 extra per pageview (stored in the pageview row)

“Rows” are database rows written, which is what our hosting is billed on. Reads are not rows written. Methodology →

How others do it

How the tools on our compare page handle this, from their own websites and help pages, checked on 21 October 2026. “Not stated” means we could not find it on the pages we checked, not that it doesn’t exist. Plans and prices change, so follow the source links. GA4, Plausible, Fathom, Simple Analytics, Umami, GoatCounter, Matomo all offer this too.
